If you are experiencing issues with WebRTC here are some things you can try to resolve the issue before contacting support:
Microphone Issues #
- When prompted, allow microphone access in the browser pop-up
- Check the browser’s site Microphone settings & ensure it’s set to “Allow”
- Verify the correct input device in your OS and browser
- Speak during the test, silence can trigger a “Silent” warning
- If it still fails, reload the page and try again
Connectivity or Network Issues #
- Disconnect from VPNs or corporate proxies and retry.
- Ensure outbound UDP 3478 (STUN/TURN) and TCP 5349 (TLS TURN) are allowed
- If one protocol fails, the system may fall back to TCP/TLS, this is slower but still works
- If both STUN and TURN fail, contact your network administrator
Performance Issues #
- Close other heavy applications or browser tabs
- Ensure your laptop isn’t in power-saving mode
- Restart your browser and rerun the test
