If required, you can send the history of a webchat to the chat window of the person you are chatting with. The history contains a copy of the messages exchanged in the chat so far. It may help you to answer a customer’s questions about a previous conversation or to verify facts.
The chat history is sent while the chat is active, but when both parties have concluded.Note: If required, the customer (via their remote web client) can also save a local copy of the conversation to a file on their PC.
Procedure #
In the Active Item dialog for the webchat, click:
A full transcription of the webchat is sent to the customer.
